Booking Information

I'm a new client. What service should I book?

New clients will only be able to book their initial consultation and treatment. New clients are not eligible to book resurfacing treatments such as chemical peels or microneedling.

What is your COVID-19 Policy?

We utilize hospital-grade disinfectants per New York State Board requirements and disinfect before AND after each client with a 30 minute cleaning gap between clients. Due to new social distancing measures in place, all clients are required to wear masks before and after your appointment. Until further notice, extra guests, including children and pets, are not permitted. Hand sanitizer, antibacterial soap, masks, and other disinfectant cleansers are available to you at any given time throughout the entire facility. Silent facials are encouraged to prevent spread. While mask is off during service, talking will be discouraged until the end of the service, unless to gauge client comfort. Upon entry, temperature will be taken and if fever is present, service will be denied and rescheduled at no cost. Following temperature check, clients must wash their hands and disinfect their phones prior to entering treatment room.

I've never visited an acne clinic before. What should I expect?

Upon entry, you will be checked in at the front desk for your appointment and you will be able to hang your coat and/or bag up by the reception desk, where it is monitored 24/7 using CCTV. After check in, your provider will guide you into your treatment or consultation room where you will NOT be asked to disrobe. We have switched to using disposables as much as we can for your safety, so we encourage you to dress in layers in case you may be cold, as we are not presently providing blankets. The clinic remains at a temperature between 70-73 degrees. Throughout your treatment, your provider will be informing you on the steps they are taking as well as gauging your comfort level throughout. Right now, due to silent facials, you are only able to ask your provider questions before or after your service.

Are there any treatment contraindications I should be aware of?

Dermaplaning: This service is not available if you are on blood thinners, have uncontrolled diabetes, terminal hair growth (such as a beard), active cold sores, open wounds, burns (including sunburn), a rash, infections, inflamed acne, or rosacea. Please wait at least 6 months post-Accutane to schedule this service. Chemical Peel: This service is not available if you are a first time client, pregnant, nursing, on antibiotics, are currently on or have been on Accutane within the past 6 months, have any cold sores, open wounds, rashes, inflamed eczema or rosacea, burns (including sunburn), infection, an autoimmune disease, or cancer.

Payment Information

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (including international cards), as well as platforms like Klarna and QuadPay.

When is payment due for my service?

Your service is scheduled only once it is paid in full.

Cancellations, Lateness, Rescheduling, Refunds

What is your cancellation policy?

If you must cancel your appointment, as a courtesy to Skin Wins, please try to cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment start time. If cancellation is requested, you will receive a credit to reschedule the same service at a later date. We do not offer refunds for cancellations, but your service credit will never expire.

What is your lateness policy?

While we do not charge for lateness, your service time will be adjusted based on the time you arrive. If you are 15 minutes late to a 60 minute service, your total service time will be 45 minutes. Your appointment must be rescheduled if you'll be more than 20 minutes late.

What is your rescheduling policy?

Clients are able to reschedule and cancel upcoming appointments by clicking on the “Change/Cancel Appointment” button in your confirmation email. Please try to reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment start time. If cancellation is requested, you will receive a credit to reschedule the same service at a later date. Please email us prior to rescheduling, so we can offer a voucher to redeem your credits. As a reminder, we do not offer refunds, but your service credit will never expire.

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds, but, your service credit with Skin Wins will never expire.
